This notice explains what personal data Vellum Studio collects through this site and through project enquiries, why we collect it, and the choices available to you. It applies to visitors browsing this site and to anyone who submits a brief through the contact form.
01
What we collect
When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, company name if given, and the content of your message, including any budget range you select. Our hosting and analytics tools also collect standard technical information such as browser type, approximate location and pages viewed, which helps us understand how the site is used without identifying you individually.
02
How we use it
We use the information you provide to respond to enquiries, assess whether a project is a good fit, and, if we begin working together, to run that project. We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not use enquiry details for marketing unless you separately opt in to hear about studio news.
03
Cookies and analytics
This site uses a small number of cookies to remember basic preferences and to power privacy-conscious analytics that report aggregate visitor numbers rather than tracking individuals across other sites. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, though some parts of the site may work less well as a result.
04
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept for up to two years so we can follow up on projects that take a while to confirm, then deleted unless we are actively working together. If a project goes ahead, records connected to that work are kept for the length of our standard contractual and accounting obligations, currently seven years.
05
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it outright. Write to studio@vellum.studio with your request and we will respond within one calendar month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
